Programme Outlines

Primary 3 English
ISUN Education employs themes and topics as well as games and activities that will engage the student. It will also encourage them to cultivate their interest in the outside world which will motivate the learners to develop their foundational skills more.
Content and Language Mastery
Primary 3 students will learn vocabulary and grammar rules with the help of memory techniques. They will also learn how to apply them in different social contexts through practice and collaboration using fun and interactive activities.
Skills and Techniques
Learners in Primary 3 will be able to build a strong foundation in the following language skills:
- Reading
Students will be exposed to read interesting and age-appropriate reading materials to develop appreciation and enjoyment in reading. Our coaches will facilitate the application of this skill through engaging activities that encourage them to use their prior knowledge and learn comprehension skills and strategies. - Writing
Students will hone their spelling skills and learn techniques and strategies to develop their accuracy to properly spell words. Our coaches aim for learners to cultivate a positive perception towards writing through collaboration and fun activities like learning how to write stories and more. - Speaking
Students will practice their communication skills through collaboration and presentation. Our coaches will facilitate safe spaces for students to hone their speaking skills, develop their confidence, and motivate them to express themselves. - Listening
Students will learn positive listening skills that aim to develop not just sound and word recognition but also aim to develop empathy and respect in learners as they listen attentively.
Contextualised Learning
Primary 3 students will be exposed to different themes and lessons that are applicable in the real world, making them more socially aware while developing their understanding of the world around them with empathy and respect towards differences.
Primary 3 Mathematics
Content Mastery
- Students will master foundational skills and learn how they are used in real life.
- They will learn new topics in numbers and algebra such as number patterns and fractions. They will also master new topics in measurement and geometry such as area and volume, perpendicular and parallel lines, as well as in statistics such as bar graphs.
- Students will understand the concepts and solve a variety of problems including word problems through engaging games and activities
Skills and Techniques
- Students will be guided to explore and learn problem-solving techniques and methods that will help them solve different mathematical problems.
- Students will master their fundamental skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Applied Learning
- Students will be guided to solve mathematical problems using fun and engaging activities through collaboration and practical application of the problem in real life.
- Students will strengthen their senses and understanding of concepts through solving problems that can occur in real life. This will help develop their appreciation and motivation to learn math which will encourage a positive disposition towards the subject.
Primary 3 Science
Content Mastery
- Students will begin to explore themes on diversity where they learn the key characteristics and classification of living things and non-living things and different materials.
- Learners are also introduced to the themes of cycles and systems where they learn about the life cycles of plants and animals.
- Students will also cover topics about magnets and energy forms
Skills and Techniques
- Students will be introduced to different skills and techniques they needed to engage with events or problems that occur in our natural world.
- Students will learn how to identify differences, compare and classify different things in the world around them and learn how to express and communicate their observations.
Applied Learning
- Students will be guided and encouraged to observe and learn science concepts beyond the textbooks. This will be done through engaging in different activities that will make the concepts come to life, making them easier to memorize.
- Students will be familiarised with concepts and facts through games and activities as they observe science concepts in action.
Primary 3 Chinese
Content Mastery
- Primary 3 students will learn new Chinese characters and vocabulary using memory techniques and apply them accordingly based on different social contexts.
Skills and Techniques
- Primary 3 students will build a strong foundation in the key language skills such as reading, speaking, writing, and listening.
- Metacognitive skills will also be taught to them to help and motivate them to learn the Chinese language.
