Step 2: Power Experience
Removing Resistance
The challenge for most revision among students is that they are reluctant to do it.
They lack the right environment and push from the right people.
– The key is to set up the right synergy in class.
Students are resistant to new classes when they don’t know the teachers or their classmates.
At ISUN, We overcome this by crafting a 2D1N bootcamp which gives students the perfect environment and opportunity to get to know the class.
They learn to appreciate the value of friendship, teamwork and the warrior spirit. Students get to build synergy among themselves, and get comfortable with their learning peers and environment. This significantly improves the absorption of revision techniques.

Step 4: Power Drilling
Increase accuracy and consistency to achieve question mastery
While some centres believe in pure repetition (jumping straight into drilling without grasping the concepts)…
we believe that practice will only make perfect if it is done CORRECTLY.
Consistent application of strategies can help to reduce or even eliminate careless mistakes in their examinations.
In addition, it helps to build up on their strong answering techniques to accurately answer every exam questions.
Students can easily achieve 20 marks jump (or more) if they apply this power drill.
Step 5: Power Consultation
Identifying blind spots, perfection to AL1-3
Usually at the final stage (2 weeks before PSLE), most students would either feel sufficient in their preparations or some just worry endlessly what could have been missed out.
A typical scenario like “I don’t know what I don’t know” would occur and students will feel insufficient, in other words, they have blindspots in their understanding.
To tackle this inadequacy, our revision checklist includes Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions
– this is to give them the extra boost to AL1-3 (last 9%).
The power consultation time gives them an ample time to test and rectify their existing knowledge.
It also challenges them on their deficiency/ blindspots and we can help to rectify them on the spot.
After doing this, students master even the hardest potential PSLE questions thus reducing “PSLE exam shock”
– where students get shocked when they meet a tricky PSLE question.

I have greatly enjoyed Isun classes in science. Isun classes are very different from other tuition classes. Other classes are boring and just teach stuff without trying to make it interesting. Isun however has interesting things because of you! Even though it was kind of boring sometimes, the lessons are very fun and enjoyable because of you. There are many other interesting activities that Isun organised that the other tuitions did not bother to organise. For example, there was the head start program that was organised every start of the year, where I learned a lot of things during the program. There was also the experimental camp, which was the first camp I had with my tuition, and the first day was so fun. I got to meet new friends and stuff. There are no weird people in my class, like the person sitting next to me, all these things contributed to making this ISUN journey special. Furthermore, there are a lot of very interesting ways used to teach us, like Kahoot! When I joined ISUN in P4, I was an AL2 and AL3 standard student. Methods like S3 tests and writing our own S3 really helped me learn. After making my first S3, it felt so good.
I am grateful for having such a great teacher, Coach Lisu, as you. You have helped me so much, like extra revision with me.
